I have not seen any major changes though I do know a few people that had these and had minor issues with fogging. Is this on the transom and if so does it see too much water? Ours is under a hardtop so humidity and quick wash down is all it sees.

Maybe take a look at mounting to see if it's all sealed properly etc. My buddies transom mount he ran a bead of caulk around the outside to keep water penetration to a minimum.

I know a lot of the remotes only have the one big wire coming out of the back, but some people I have talked to have an extra terminal in the back (including ones on other sites).

I was hoping to find some input on if the terminal is for the brightness (my old clarion remote had one). I want to buy it from Crutchfield along with everything else though, but they still have not been able to tell me why it's there and why theirs doesn't have it. If it helps, my MW1 is mounted on the outside of my boat right at the swim platform and it has the perfect amount of backlighting. I have no trouble seeing the display in any light.
