• Alfa Romeo 159 0-60

I just bought the Alfa Romeo 159 2.2 JTS manual petrol sedan and love it to bits, however. From day 1 it's made a faint vacuum like sound (a bit like when you block the intake of a vacuum cleaner) when the car has warmed up and is revving around 2600-2800 rpm. Take the foot of the accelerator and the sound goes away.

Alfa over here cannot tell me what the problem is other than that they've tested a couple of other cars and they made the same noise - therefore, they've concluded that it's not a fault but a 'characteristic' of the car. Have you noticed the same noise on this specific model?

I can't believe though that this would be the case, that the car would be released like this as it is quite noticeable and annoying. Hoping you'll be able to give me some friendly advice. He is the one who concluded that it's a 'characteristic' of the 159 JTS 2.2 manual.

My problem is I can't find anyone who's heard of this noise before, so am finding it hard to accept that it's common on this car.agree? Took it to Damon at Lance Dixon last week and he heard the sound - he'd never heard it before either. He seems like a quality person - He is going to ask his staff about it too, to see if they can solve it.
